In the traditional Chinese culture,the sense of honor and shame is a noumenon value,to which the philosophers in Xian Qin(dynasties before the Qin) attached great importance,and made it a core concept of Chinese ethics,the sense of honor and disgrace and the sense of courtesy and justice are its exterior form.Chinese culture is that of common customs,the sense of honor and shame being its noumenon value,moral and ethical basis.Therefore,the ancient cultural construction and the sense of honor and shame function mutually.The contemporary Chinese cultural construction should also reconstruct the sense of honor and shame based on the democracy and legislation.
