Generally speaking, Confucius's character structure consists of an internal individual structure and an external relational structure. By analyzing confucius' character structure we come to the following conclusions. First, psychological health is an important requirement for development of desirable character; Secondly, perfect character is embodied in a balanced unity of all kinds of virtues in various ethical relations; Thirdly, the development of character in modern China should aim at combination of "benevolence" and "intelligence".
