Abstract

The preQin aphoristic writing features frequent appearance of rhythmical and parallel sentencesAphoristic writings found in newly discovered texts,for example,on the bamboo slips in the Shanghai Museum collection,better reflect these features than that in handeddown textsDispersive aphorisms preserved in the Xing Qing Lun,Di Zi Wen and Jun Zi Wei Li feature their tendency of paying attention to contemporary scholars’ words and imitating past aphoristic writingsThe Cong Zheng and Fan Wu Liu Xing include aphorisms introduced by the phrase“Wenzhiyue”emphasizes originalityThe phrase “Yongyue” is an essay of argumentation consisting of many aphorisms in the Yong YueAphoristic writing was influenced by the emphasis on speech in early Chinese Masters' Writings
