Abstract
There are two different kinds of logics of political operationOne is called realism, which drives those in power to do the right things in the political senseThe other is called normativism, which requires those in power to do the right things in the moral senseModern political theory united these two with the concept of legitimacyNot only does a legitimate regime need to do the right things in the political sense, but it also needs to do things in a morally right wayProtecting underprivileged groups is the most basic case of things which are both politically right and morally rightHowever, it was gradually described as some kind of “political correctness” which is, in fact, morally incorrect during the complicated games between those in power and those without powerWith the rise of movements against “political correctness”, modern politics is in a serious legitimacy crisisTo rebuild its legitimacy, modern politics must be committed to eliminating inequality in power within the scope of the society
