Different from other philosophies in East and West, Confucianism was particularly concerned with “family”,which is also the starting point of its philosophyIn this regard, the author named it “the discovery of the family”The philosophical characteristics embodied in the familyoriented understanding of Confucianism are as follows: on the one hand, actively connect the blood group “family” with the nonblood group “nation” and have it expanded in space; on the other hand, it is not confined to the relations between parents and children, but rather extended to the ancient ancestors from the time aspectFrom the beginning of the original Confucianism to NeoConfucianism, the characteristics are consistentThe expansion of “family” in space created a unique political thought of ConfucianismOn the other hand, the expansion of “family” in time indeed served the function of religion in the Confucian society
