当代中国作家出现集体精神缺失,其原因之一是近30年来过度亲近20世纪的外国文学,乐于采纳西方写作的各种主义和经验,却在无意间疏远了中国文学强大、丰富、源远流长的传统和经验。虽然每位当代作家都个性鲜明,却缺少一种鲜明的集体个性。当代文学在时过境迁之后,是否还有文学意义而非文学史的意义,也正取决于这种当代文学集体的独特价值。

The collective spirit of the contemporary Chinese writers appears missing,one of the reasons is over close to the 20th century foreign literature,and receptive to the Western doctrine and experience in a variety of writing over the past 30 years,but unintentionally alienated to the powerful,rich,long history of Chinese literature tradition and experience.While contemporary Chinese writers are all distinct individually,they lack a distinctive collective personality.Whether there exists literary sense rather than the meaning of literary history in contemporary literature with the passing of time depends on this unique value of the collective spirit in contemporary literature.
