Aesthetics in Pre Qin stresses the role of aesthetic awareness in the psychological process of aesthetics. It emphasizes harmony, aiming at reaching internal balance of subjectivity and objectivity in aesthetic experiences. This idea is further described as an agreement between sensual perception of beauty and ethical code of kindness. Obviously the theory objects to the claim that the sense will interfere with the morality. This, the author believes, is the foundation of the characteristics of Chinese aesthetics which advocates beauty of harmony.
